Help us to help our native wildlife
Become a sponsor and support the organisation that helps native animals on the ground in North Queensland.
There are many ways you can support us. from becoming members to helping us with building maintenance, extensions, gardening, donating time, goods, possums boxes, pouches, and funds.
We receive no government funding. To support our members and our various activities, we conduct a variety of fundraising events and always welcome donations and sponsorships. Every bit helps! Our dream is to establish a dedicated wildlife hospital and rehabilitation center, a dream that will require a fair bit of additional fund raising…
“To rehabilitate sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife from rescue to release.” our dream is to have the facilities to do this
NQ Wildlife Care Inc is a voluntary non-profit organisation that helps native wildlife in North Queensland. We rescue and provide care for sick, injured and orphaned native wildlife until they are rehabilitated and can be released back into the wild. We care for almost 3000 native animals a year, including bandicoots, bettongs, birds, echidnas, flying foxes, frogs, gliders, goannas, kangaroos, koalas, lizards, microbats, native mice, possums, quolls, snakes, turtles and wallabies. Volunteers care for animals in their own time, in their own homes and at their own expense. Our network of carers extends from Townsville to Ingham, the Burdekin, Charters Towers and all the way to Mount Isa. We are grateful to the local vets in the region who help us by treating injured wildlife.
